SWCPDD 2019 – Warrnambool April 13, 14 & 15

On behalf of Warrnambool Pipe Band, please find attached the enrolment forms for the 2019 South West Coast Piper Drummer Dancer Workshops. We note that there are three registration forms as follows:
• Pipers and Drummers
• Drum Majors
• Highland Dancers
The workshops this year will be on Saturday 13, Sunday 14 and Monday 15 April and again feature a terrific line up of local and international tutors. A copy of a flyer listing some key tutors is also attached. As the band finalises details and enrolments, more tutors will be added as needed to cater for student numbers.
For the first time, the workshop is welcoming Jake Jorgensen from Scotland as one of the lead drumming tutors. Jake is one of the world’s top drummers, leads the Scottish Power Drum Corps, and is a regular in the World Solo Drumming Championships.
Noted composer Terry Tully, a former World Champion Pipe Major and still current musician with St Laurence O’Toole Pipe Band is welcomed back with the assistance of the VPA.
Also featuring in the piping list is current Gold Medallist, Stuart Easton from New Zealand.
The workshop also has an exciting highland dancing program on offer, with noted South African instructor Pat Gush returning, this time accompanied by her son Andrew. We are also fortunate to have Shelley Easton from New Zealand as part of the teaching faculty, and these international dancing instructors, accompanied by local instructors add a different dimension to the dancing faculty.
A marching program directed for Drum Majors and other interested persons is also again on offer.
