Ringwood Contest Draw – amended (version Mk 5) & Revised Parking Arrangements

Please see attached the updated contest draw for the Ringwood Highland Gathering on Sunday 25 March 2018.

Also attached is amended advice regarding parking arrangements. This is due to the Heavy Games being located on the lower oval, and for safety reasons, a reduced area is available for band parking. This will therefore enable access for only two vehicles per band. A map of the adjacent Karralyka Centre accessed from Mines Rd is also appended. Pipe Bands Victoria apologies for any inconvenience to bands and supporters, but this is beyond our control.

Bands are requested to read and familiarise themselves with the appended notes. Although yet to be confirmed by the promoter, due to the number of band entries, there may be limited parking within the East Ringwood Reserve. The promoter has also advised that there may be access restrictions for vehicles entering and leaving the ground from 10.00am as part of their Traffic Management Plan approved by the local Council.

Bands utilising the new Dual Registration rule are also asked to ensure that they fully understand and comply with this rule, and that the Contest Supervisor is notified in accordance with the rule by both the player’s registered band as well as the “senior” band. The new notification forms have been sent to bands.

Bands are specifically requested to note the sign in and performance times, and carefully read the appended notes relating to other contest matters, and the assembly of the Finale Massed Band. Massed band tunes are also listed in the appended notes.
