Tim Bodey wins 2016 Peter Clohesy Memorial Shield

Congratulations to Tim Bodey, lead drummer at Federation University Ballarat Pipe Band, who won the 2016 Peter Clohesy Memorial Shield for services to drumming which was presented at the Daylesford Highland Gathering on Saturday. Tim Bodey has been on the pipe band scene for approximately 30 years and has been a passionate and dedicated member of the Ballarat band. He has led a very strong Drum Corps which has won numerous Australian and Victorian titles, as well as being lead drummer with the band during its recent Australian Championships wins. Tim has taught many pupils, as has been a strong advocate for pipe bands culminating with the Federation University Pipe Band hosting two Australian Championships in 2012 and 2014. Tim, in addition to his services to drumming, is also the current Treasurer of Pipe Bands Victoria.
