Vale John Ray BEM, Life Member

Pipe Bands Victoria has been advised of the passing of Victorian life member John Ray BEM. John was drum major of Victorian Scottish Regiment Pipes and Drums in its various names from the 1950s through to the 1970s and was awarded the British Empire Medal in 1969. John was for many years a dress and drill adjudicator and instructor of bands and drum majors in Victoria.

John passed away on 20 September, and Pipe Bands Victoria has been advised his funeral will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday 28 September at Cordell Chapel, Fawkner. We extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
